Good Afternoon,

I have one more of these Kodiaks from the last batch but in Magnacut this time. I have done a few larger thicker pieces in Magnacut and figured the Kodiak would be a good fit for it.

This blade is made from 0.211" Magnacut ground to 400 grit and finished on an ultra fine scotch brite belt.

The handle is made from stacked leather and brass. The leather was treated with west systems epoxy when stacking and then beeswax once the handle was ground and fresh leather was exposed. This leaves the leather really tough and hard but retains the leather texture in the final grip. The guard and pommel are brass. The tang is 0.211" x 5/8" so there is plenty of material under the leather. The guard is soldered and the pommel is threaded on to provide maximum compression of the leather while the epoxy dries and then the tang is peened over to lock everything in place.

The weight is 12 ounces and the balance point is right at the back of the guard. Balanced this way the knife feels light and moves very well.

The sheath is made from 9-10 ounce leather and set up for right hand carry.

The little spots on the blade are water. It was raining when I took the pictures but I wanted to do them outside anyway because they are so much nicer than pictures in my shop.

Price (SOLD), shipping is included to continental United States via USPS.
