That's some awesome stag there Campbell, nice and popcorny. What are the specs on that beauty?

Intense
Congrat's.

That whole knife is konnichiwa, without a doubt. Sweet one Cambell.

3 5/8 closed, ATS34 blades. 2 7/8 main, 2 3/8 secondary. This is my third one by Ryu and I can't say enough about the quality of his knives. The first 2 I let go of in trades, but I'm definitely keeping this sucker.

Very very nice. Is that a safe queen or will you use it?

That's as nice a swayback as I've ever seen. I love that stag. Great work on the bolsters and the raised shield looks pretty nice to me.

Beautiful blade, Campbell! I too am a Ryu fan - especially at his price point. I'm on my second.

Dig that funky popcorn, whiteboy! (to music, of course)

I admit I am curious about the raised shield.

Ken

I really like the way he did it. The top of the shield is flush with the popcorn that surrounds it. The stag is relatively thick so I think he just made the shield extra thick to accommodate it. I've noticed this on several of his knives. It adds a neat dimension to the knife when you are c/fin it. I'll try and shoot some closeups from different angles tomorrow.

The shield LOOKS raised. Isn't the top surface of the shield level with the tops of the pops? That's pretty normal for shields in stag but it shows a lot more on that knife because of the space between "popcorn".....BLAHBLAHBLAH...Campbell said it.

BTW Kerry...was that a buttdial voicemail I got from you tonight? Sounded like you were in vegas again

I like a maker that doesn't pussy-foot around with decent stag like old school cutlery craftsman used to. Notice how the knarly texture of the stag meets up with, or seems embrace the top fancy bolsters. Well done to be sure!.

Very nicely crafted indeed. Love to see more by this maker.. Info please?

Thanx,
Anthony
