The mailman just delivered my new black Quince Kopa.. boy, what a BEAUTIFUL knife. I can see why someone would want to collect them all! When I originally ordered it, I intended on using it as my EDC.. now, I don't know. It sure is nice to just look at and admire. :o (sorry, no pics yet)

Can't let a thread with the word Kopa go to waste. Here are some photos I took a little while ago. It is missing a couple of the later models.

Dan,
Are any good reasons why it is missing a couple of later models?
What can be more important than to take Kopas pictures? :D :D:D:D
(OK, Persians, Lums, Natives, and Calys as well)

There is a solution for this problem. You will need to save money and buy one more. This is what I did with Cocobolo :p:thumbup:
The latest Kopa is jigged Bone, it goes for $116 at NGK is a rare beauty.
Kopa is very good cutter, I am enjoying it every day. The first cut of the day (open a bag with coffee) is done with Kopa. I am not using it hard: envelopes, plastic bags, cardboard sometimes. FFG VG10 is very good, also knife has very good ergos.

Hey bh49,
Yeah not much more is important mate :) Except maybe getting all my Kopas out when the missus is around cos she thinks I have only 1 Kopa and 6 Spydies in total.
I think I'm missing the Jigged Bone Kopa in that "Kopa Wheel" shot. I'll post up the Jigged Bone separately.
The 2 most underrated Kopas would probably be the 2 cheapest too ! Black Quince has great variations in the stocks that are coming out. The 3 that I have all range from being bluish, or blackish, and my favourite one has caramel coloured tightly figured whorls and swirls in it.
The Jigged Bone one is as the description..... Honey Jigged Bone.... very toffee-like in its colouration, and almost edible. Some people like it more close to bone/ sandy coloured.

Good job Daniel. :):):p:p:p
Jigged Bone without doubts one of my favorites. If I would have extra funds, I would love to have at least one spare, but you never know, may be I will get lucky and hit lotto. :D:D
Sorry cannot tell the same about Black Quince, it is OK, but not in the same league with Coco, Corals, and Jigged Bone for me at least. I even not was talking about MOP or Turquoise.
Of cause all this is matter of personal preferences. Kopas are beautiful, doesn't matter which one are we talking about. Great gents knife. Even NKP are getting impressed.

congrats on the black quince kopa kshaw07
great pix Dan
I can't wait to see what the Pacific blue bone one looks like..."in the flesh" :p

Hey thanks everyone for posting the great pics.. and thanks for making me jealous! All of the above pics really show off the beauty of the Kopa series. I think I've saved enought to get maybe one more (for now).. Apple Coral or Jigged Bone, hmmmm.... I really wish I could find a Cocobolo though, my favorite so far.

Go for the Jigged Bone mate :) Unless the Apple Coral is highly figured, I'lll pass on that over the Jiggy one ;)

Cheers

And yet ANOTHER delivery :o This time the guy in the brown truck delivered one Jigged Bone and one Apple Coral Kopa... I love these knives! Now, if I could only bring myself to use & actually handle them, instead of just quietly putting them away in the "special knives" drawer....

Congrats kshaw07 :D

Do yourself a favour. I collected them for a long time before deciding to put on to good use. I'd use your Jigged Bone or Quince one. Keep the Apple Coral for special occasions.

Took me a long time to use mine, pocket it for a while, then cut something. Once cut you won't look back. These are truly great gents knives.

Oh yeah, photos please :)

Cheers
Dan
