I have a near mint condition Korth Model 1 balisong with anodized and orange-peel- textured titanium handles and a satin-finished S30V clip point blade for sale. Like just every other Korth bali I've ever seen, this one is IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) powered. If you've never experienced IKBS before, it really works. There is no play whatsoever in the handles of this bali, but it is the smoothest that I have ever handled, even smoother than my other custom bali, a Dobruski.

The Model 1 listed here has been carried, flipped, and lightly used a couple of times, but the only sign of wear that it shows is a little bit of ano wear at the latch end of the handle. The knife still has its original edge from Korth. As mentioned before, the action is incredibly smooth, and the latch locks up solidly in both the open and closed positions

***SOLD***

The specs:

Condition: Near mint
Blade length: 4 1/2" from tip to handle
Overall length: 9 3/4"
Blade thickness: 5/32" at ricasso
Blade steel: S30V
Blade finish: Satin
Edge: Plain
Handle material: Titanium, orange-peel textured, anodized medium blue
Clip: None

For payment, I prefer USPS money orders, but I will also accept PayPal and cash (at your own risk). If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I will only accept a personal check if I know you, and I reserve the right to wait for it to clear before I ship.

Cash is king, since I have bills to pay, but I am dying to get a Galyean flipper, so I will happily consider any potential trade involving one. I may also consider the following trades (+ or - cash):

JL Williams framelocks or flippers
Carson Model 26
Stellite or damascus C2O
Other Carson folders with handrubbed or damascus blades
Munroe folders
Rick Hinderer Firetac with damascus or 6K blade or Fire Whirl bali
Marlowe SOF-A4 or SOF-A2 or bali
Burke folders with handrubbed or damascus blades
Fraley Torrent framelock flipper
Blackwood Curr
Mayo damascus TNT
29 Knives
Dobruski balis
Onion flippers
Bogi flippers (except Mini-Cobra)

I may also consider trades for other custom folders not listed above. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives, or fixed blades other than small (less than 5" blade) Hossoms or Andrews at this point in time.

Feel free to post, email, or PM any questions. Thanks for looking!

This knife is used and is still being sold over its original retail price of 425? Are you willing to negotiate on that price?

Respectfully, I could see more logic in your statement if you were referring to a currently produced, production knife, but this is not only a korth, but a model 1 to boot. You really don't see too many floating around the open market for too long. Not any korth bali models for that matter... You couldnt touch mine for his price +...

Are you entertaining trade offers still? Good luck on your sale man!

Doug, thanks for your insight. I couldn't have said it better myself.

mybalisong, custom knives, like this one, and even some limited edition production knives, new or used, that are not readily available commonly sell in the secondary market for well above the maker's price. There are many examples, such as Ken Onion knives, Kit Carson knives, and the numbered MCSOCOM Strider SMFs, which all have secondary market markups that dwarf the one on this bali.

This one is pending...

You might want to learn some manners and become a paying member before you make a statement like that, jackass!

Are you calling me a non-paying member and jackass? See the Gold under my name that means I am a paying member.

I apologize for Hijacking your thread CommodoreWheeler.

Seems to me like "mybalisong" is the desired type of visitor to this Knives for Sale Forum. He is a potential buyer! I didn't see anything that he wrote that was offensive. He stated his opinion regarding factors which he believed determined the value of the balisong. That is his negotiating technique. It seemed he wanted to make an offer. Braundc and Commodorewheeler answered with their opinions regarding the value of the knife.

Regarding Gold Membership. "mybalisong" or I might be Gold Members of the future. The type of comments expressed by "BladeGloblin" won't encourage "mybalisong" or me to become Gold Members and might drive persons like us away from this forum. Isn't this forum a place for people to come together in a fellowship to enhance their common interest in knives.

Ridgewalker, negative comments are not allowed in someone's for sale ad.

See Spark's announcement at the top of the page.

Questioning someone's price on one of their blades, in my eyes is a negative comment, commodorewheeler has a wealth of knowledge in custom knives and their current market value and he deserves the utmost respect.

I think this comment/offer should have been taken to Email. I'm done hijacking Commodorewheeler's thread.

I didn't know my manners would be judged on a knife exchange, anyways good luck with the sale. If the buyer falls out you know who to reach

yeah, me. I think I offered the asking price before you were done trying to publicly haggle him down. :D
bladegoblin got it dead on a few posts up mybalisong. Don't sweat it.

mybalisong, braundc is right. He is second in line because he contacted me before your first post. You are third in line, though, so it's yours if it falls that far.

Isn't it funny, someone who has no manners whatsoever trying to teach manners ?

The original poster, CommodoreWheeler, BraunDC, BladeGoblin, FLH and CPirtle were the only posters in this thread to actually show manners.

The rest of the chorus were tire-kicking, low post count newbies with attitudes.

Thanks for showing your colors, boys, and I mean BOYS, I can add a few names to my ignore list, in addition to not doing business with yous'e.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson
