Bottom knife is a Koster Monster Nessie in CPM 3V steel (verified CPM 3V by Dan), .265” thick blade with brut-de-forge flats and belt finish grinds, black canvas micarta handle slabs. This is a workhorse ready to go to work. Blade is about 8 5/8” long with an OAL of about 13 7/8”. Comes with a handsome, heavy-duty leather pouch sheath with drop loop and double-stitched welt, as shown. Sheath alone should be worth $75-100. Minor handling marks, but new old stock, unused.

Carson M21 has a 3” blade, 7” overall, 1/8” blade thickness. Butter-smooth action, solid lockup, no blade play—perfect Carson construction. Alignment at lockup and closed shown in pics below. A few light surface scuffs on the blade. Handles are blue and black micarta—his standard material. Blade steel on this one is unknown, likely ATS34. I realize not knowing the blade steel on a Carson is a cardinal sin, but that’s how I bought it—reflected in price.

The Gerber hunter is from a custom run of 200 knives commissioned by Deloro Stellite, the manufacturer of Stellite 6K, as a presentation piece for their senior execs in the early 1990’s. Stellite is a cobalt-based (rather than iron/steel) alloy with very high wear resistance that is utterly rust proof—cannot rust. A few made it onto the market in the $500 range in the late 1990’s—now very rare and hard to find. Stellite 6K is expensive and hard to work. Custom makers such as Tom Mayo and Kit Carson have used Stellite 6K in their more expensive knives, as it makes wonderful knife blades—great edge holding and completely rust proof. This one is No. 174 of 200 with 5 ½” Stellite 6K blade, 10 ¼” OAL, blade thickness of .150” at the ricasso. Comes with a leather sheath from Gerber, no box. A little tarnish on the brass snap. See if you can find another 6K blade at this price!

Thanks, DavidZ--appreciate your interest, but the Gerber is paid for and has shipped (as has the Carson).
