This is a beast of a knife. It has been modified by the previous owner by grinding down a small part of the top of the leaf shaped blade to a bowie style. Which was well done. He also lightly sanded the sides of the blade to remove user marks (which also removed the etched "k" makers mark). Over all the knife is in great condition and cosmetically a conservative 8.5 out of 10. The edge is free of nicks or dings and I put a sharp edge on it. Specs are: 16" oal, 8 1/2" blade in front of the ring, 9 1/2" from the tip to the handle. The steel is .275 thick of A2 hardened to 59. Scales are tan canvas mircarta. This is Dan Kosters version of a medium sized kukuri. In case your wondering the ring is comfortable as a guard or choked up. These are now listed on Dan's site for order starting at $435 when ever they are available. Come with a marpart camo kydex sheath with strap and large tek, paracord and ranger band. You could chop your own log cabin out with this blade.
