Both are really nice. Could you tell us the thickness of the blade as well as the steel used and who made it? Thanks.

Thanks bones 555. The steel is ADS damascus as post states sir, 52100, 5150, 203e, and 15n20 folded 4 times to make it 416 layers. These knives where made by me and the the thickness is .160 on both!

Those both look really nice! The bottom one seems to be calling my name.... :)

All the best,
S

Picked up a really nice Kousins today at a show...James seems to be a solid guy who produces quality and not quantity. Not cheap, but seems like it will be worth it. Nice weighting with a tight fitting custom kydex sheath...not a big fan of kydex but it is what it is, I am thinking that it will certainly outperform leather in most circumstances. He took quite a while to speak with me, at a busy show, and answer a LOT of questions so I would definitely recommend that you at least take a look if you need a solid custom knife.

I have been "lurking" for quite a while and keep finding myself here while researching knifes so I finally decided to sign up :)

BTW, I am a big TOPS fan and have more than a couple, Wolf Pup, B.E.S.T. Border Crossing, Sparrow Hawke, Sierra Scout, BOB Fieldmaster just to name a few...I was also a fan of the Camillus BKT's but I feel that Ka-Bar ruined that line by downgrading the steel, to 1095 (which I like, see the TOPS comment), and the sheaths from kydex to the glass filled crap so I paid a little more a year or so ago to pick p the BK-2 and BK-11...but I cannot force myself to take them out of the box and use them!

Sorry to hijack the Kousins thread but I thought the addl info might add a little credence to a newbie on the site.

I've owned my KK knives for probably 5 years now. The workmanship is fantastic, the steel is amazing (takes and holds an edge incredibly well) and styling is timeless.
