This first knife is a bit of a one-off, we've been calling it the Gentelman's Back-up. It's an old file re-purposed into a beautiful blade.

Serial #: 609 SOLD

Overall Length: 10"
Blade Length: 5 1/4" of cutting edge
Handle Length: 4 5/16" (give or take 1/16th, some are harder to measure than others)

Steel: This one is actually from a file, an older Nicholson approximately 1/8" thick. Its been annealed and ground for a full convex blade, heat treated and hand rubbed to 600 grit. For character there is a small hint of the file pattern up near the hilt and a tiny bit of forge pattern.

Handle: Wenge with green spacers and 1/4" 304 stainless tubing pins.

Sheath: Sleek black Ranger by yours truly. Double-needle hand stitched with a welt and no stitching through the main body of the sheath, (the bottom of the belt loop is stitched to the horizontal strap instead of the main body to prevent the knife from rubbing against the thread and weakening it).

Asking Price: SOLD - Thanks for looking!

Just let me know if you are interested.

This pair of FKU knives is the first in a series of 24 pairs (of all different styles of knives). There will be one pair for each Elder Futhark rune. This pair has the first rune, "Fehu" chiseled on the right side. The dimensions of these two knives are not exactly the same, proof that they are indeed hand crafted!

Serial Number: #605 - SOLD
Over All Length: 10 15/16 inches
Blade Length: 6 1/16 inches
Handle Length: 4 5/8 inches

Serial Number: #606 - SOLD
Over All Length: 10 13/16 inches
Blade Length: 5 5/8 inches
Handle Length: 4 7/8 inches

Steel: 1/8 inch 1084, deferentially tempered and blued. Convex grind. The rune on the right side is Fehu.

Handles: Scales are black linen micarta, pins are 1014 steel, also blued. The handles a very low profile and thin, but still fill the hand.

Sheaths: Black Explorer style sheaths by yours truly. Double needle hand stitched with a welt and all that jazz. (A drainage hole at the bottom, removable/adjustable belt hanger for vertical or horizontal carry). The snap on these two I did reverse of how I usually make them, so that they are easily unsnapped with the flick of a thumb (for right handed carry anyway).

Asking Price: Both blades are SOLD, thanks for looking!

Let me know if you are interested!

The knives have a nice character about them, nice work. I had to look up "Elder Futhark rune" in Wikipedia.

The Gentleman's Back-up is pending..... the FKU Fehu pair has not yet been claimed. Totally fine to break up the pair... :D

Look great, especially the gentleman's backup. Are these new knives or completion of some older ones? Not that it matters, just glad to see some of Christof's work again. Thanks for all you do to help get these out, and with very nice sheaths.
