Koyote Leuku/Kephart

For sale is a nice Leuky/Kephart style knife by Koyote. Blade is 1/8” thick, 5.5” long and OAL is 10.25”. Blade is carbon steel (not 52100 or 1095, so it’s likely 5160 or 1084). Grind is scandivex. Scales look to be bocote, but I’m not positive. Has been used and sharpened. Nice sheath, but it fits loose, so should be wet formed/waxed again.

I am pretty sure that Koyote was the maker on that one. He stopped making knives a while back. He had a sub-forum in the custom makers section that might yield some history on it.

I've still got a soft spot for the old Koyotes. I'll take it.

Do you know if that handle contouring was done by Cristof, or by an owner somewhere along the way? I don't recall him ever doing much 3d contouring. But he was always experimenting.
