i got this one a few days ago but ordered it without the sheath so i could get some practice in the realm of leatherwork. i have been making sheaths occasionally for the past few months, and this one definatly turned out the best (by far).

good looking sheath, and i like those leather scales too. nice and classic looking:thumbup:

only thing i would do is take that center section of the sinew off and do a large spaced diamond pattern instead :)

Nice work, are you using a stitch marking wheel? If you are, then easy, if not, mark the holes first, then use a math compass to draw your trim line on the outside. That'll help neaten up the edges, which was always my worst problem (and then sierra started doing it)

currently the only tools i use are a hammer and an awl. the compass is a good trick. i got a pretty fancy compass i keep around for doing classic geometric constructions, so now it can have another use.
