stead (homestead) knife, this one is done in G10 with a fairly high convex taper. The stead knife provides a very secure grip, with a semi-guard integral to the scales.
Overall length is 8.5 inches.
Blade length on this is 3 7/8 inches, 1/8 inch 1080 steel. Full quench with a differential temper. High scandi style convex grind, easy to maintain with a strop. Smoothed out forge finish flats are done with 400 and 600 grit hand rubbing.
Handle is generous, 4 1/4 inches inside the guard. Scales are olive G10, low profile (5/8 inch thick). Pins are 1/4 inch OD stainless tubing.
Sheath is the mini-explorer type, with retaining strap, adjustable/removable belt hanger. Belt hanger can be adjusted for height of carry or removed for horizontal or pack strap mounting.
