Got home today after grueling 13 hours on the road to a pleasant surprise, my first Koyote blade:thumbup: I apologize for the crappy pics, I'll post better outdoor shots soon (maybe Koyote has better ones too...), but here she is:

17" of 1/4 Koyote ground steel in a K-girl sheath. This thing is a beast! Can't wait to get her outside this weekend:

I just picked up one of these on the exchange yesterday. I know what you mean it is one big & beautiful knife. I hope you have fun with that big ol beast.

man.. that thing is bad a$$... i like it.:D. awesome sheath too... congrats..

Whoaaa. That... is some serious steel. Any legionnaire would have loved to carry that. Great sheath, too. Also like the San Mai necker.

That sheath is so hot.

Yep, K-girl is special. We're lucky have folks like you two....

Day-yum.

Congratulations. Likely not your last Koyote.

Rotte - Nope, it's not gonna be my last (I've seen three more I want already)...

Will do Bro!

You hiring out hand models now? Nobody here has that much hair left on their arms!!!! :D

I've actually taken to shaving my leg hair:D....

Man that is really sweet! Would love to have had the a few years back when I lived in the middle of nowhere.

DB - It has a medieval look doesn't it. I just got the Becker too, I'll be posting some info on that soon too, first observation is that it takes a great edge though

It's funny how that works. I used to be in the woods every day and dreamed of blades like this, now I can go only get out on week-ends (too much work), and have them.....

The original blade idea is off of a spearpoint style norse langeax. I've messed with it plenty, but that's the basis.

I've had a lot of comparisons to the gladius, and I don't think the two styles are that far off.

Man, I keep being surprised by what people do with this grind. Christian was making fuzz sticks with his! That pepper really ....died well. :D

It's like a samurai and a machete made sweet love. And then Koyote girl spent twelve days on a sheath for the progeny.

Damn that's a beauty...and the sheath gives me dirty thoughts. Oy, I need a life.

Down in a secluded area along the Chattahoochee River where I hunted, trapped, and fished when I was young I used to roam the woods for miles imagining long ago times and dreaming of blades like that...never did get one though...maybe someday I'll do it anyway . That thing is so sweet it has me dreaming again lol :) .

Holy Crap that is nice. That is going on the list.

I was sharpening my Koyote wilderness model last night, gave it a workout while camping with the scouts recently. My son has been reading The Rangers Aprentice series recently and wants a seax.

Father-son package...
