Andy, a couple of the earlier KPH's in post #106 look close to what I had ordered, do you have any of the FOD phenolic handled KPH's left? That green/glow handled one looks wicked.

I don't have any left in stock currently. Some are pending pmt. But my FIL is back and I'm putting him in charge of directing me toward orders...

Guys, the wide swedges are not going to be offered. I just screwed up a blade beyond repair doing one. I held my breath the entire time on Kismet's, and was lucky. I can't afford to keep ruining knives. I'll understand if you want to cancel your order because the swedges I can do are narrower.

I pounded it into the mousehole of my anvil, and broke it into three pieces. Deep discount on shards available.

Hell, Andy. You set your quality control standards. They may be among the highest of any knifemaker of your level. If you aren't satisfied, then...your name doesn't go on the work and the work doesn't go out.

That's the way it's supposed to be, right? :)

I've not seen you do anything that wasn't right.

Sorry to hear that Andy.

Well, its just a part of knifemaking. Not a big deal. I just don't have the skill to pull that off consistantly.

I have announcements to make on this thread. Please first let me apologize for letting this run go on for so long. I have had technical difficulties making these knives first because of the swedge, and also because of the metal bolsters. I just don't have the equipment I need to keep banging my head against the wall on the metal bolsters.

These two knives are for the members in this run. They are going to be the last two knives with metal bolsters. If you would like, I can do micarta bolsters just fine. Otherwise, I will be contacting you about your order to find out how you would like to proceed.

The two knives are Osage over natural canvas micarta, and Desert Ironwood with red liners. Spalted 01 steel, and getting better with the swedges.

Hunting season and the Fiddleback Classic KPH goes on the belt!

Beautiful work, Andy.

Hey Andy,

I haven't gotten a reply from my e-mails so I'm posting here in case the Spam Filter caught them. You can start whenever you're ready on the KPH.

Kismet Practical Hunter
Convex Grind
Full-Size Swedge (if you can)
Spalted Steel
Black Micarta Bolsters
Black/Brass/SS Bolster Pins
Black/Red Micarta Liners (whichever looks better)
Paduk (unless something else would look better with the Skateboard chip)
Mosaic Pin
Bullseye Lanyard Tube

Also, if you can go 1/8 or a little thinner on the stock without harming the integrity of the knife that would be great. *Thank you.
