The handle looks comfortable and full. Looks like it would do very well in the camp kitchen. Nice work!

How do you get that texture on the leather?

Great profile there Robert, and one of the prettier pieces of Bocote I've seen in a while. Can we get a shot from the top? Oh, and what's the blade thickness?

I use an El-Cheapo Tandy stamp like the one below and hold it at around a 45 degree angle. I just randomly (and very lightly) tap the stamp until I get the look I want.

Warren,

This blade is 1/8" thick O-1. I have attached a couple of quick "down-and-dirty" pics of the top of the blade (notice the full distal taper), and a crude shot showing a "false-clip" that didn't show up in the original photo.

By the way............. I can't seem to make contact with Devin Thomas for another piece of his "Raindrop". Don't give up on me........ I am trying.....

Robert

Thanks for the additional pix, Robert. That thing ought to slice like a demon! And no worries, I'm not giving up... :D

I'm surprised this is still here. If Bob's knives do anything exceptioonally well it is cut!
This one ought to make a real "slicer".

I got to "fondle" this knife the other day while visiting Robert...... great knife.

If some unexpected & costly dental work had not reared it's ugly head a couple of days before.... this one would have had a new address......

Soooooo, fair warning gentlemen...... if anyone want's it...... you better get on the stick before I resupply my "mad money" pouch in a couple of weeks.

PS/ Robert, the "black smith" knife is a winner for sure.... I love it.... no lie. What steel did you say it was.... 1084.... ??
