Is she really .550" thick? and how long? could you be more specific on the specs?
So she is thicker than the Caliber 500? OOOOOOOO......AAAAAAAA!

15" Overall Legnth, 9" blade, .550 A2 Steel, Black Canvas Micarta, when I made tubes for this beast, it has a 1.110 cross section,
 
It is amazing to give that thick of a steel a platinum edge. Very nice. I cannot imagine a blade that could baton any better than the kraken.
 
Bumping the Kraken, she is just my favorite.
BTW: could the actual owner post some pics, it would be nice to see the Kraken in action, or at least in other "waters":D

Sorry will post pics when can am moving about 30 miles north and working 100 miles from home and working 6 days a week so I am short on time and my room mate moved out and he owned the camera but will post pics soon
