Krayton/Kray-Ex material and sticky breakdown

I used the handle of a Cold Steel fixed blade knife to make the handle scales for my GRAIL folder (Brad Zinker with titanium liners) .
I'm still happy with it after many years. Looks like over eight years almost to the day. The knife is stored and carried in a Buck 110 belt pouch I modded and soaked for a click into place custom fit. I cut off the pouch flap. LOVE IT ! ! ! !

I don't know about the current stuff but I used to have one of the little push daggers from cold steel on my keychain. The keys were in my pocket most of the time. Maybe it was called a pocket pal? Anyway, eventually the krayton handle would degrade and fall off. I had three of them over the years before I gave up and went with a spyderco ladybug. No more krayton for me....

Interesting. I have an original push dagger. Handle still good. Not used much for its intended purpose. Carried quite a bit.
