Tom Krein TK-11 Wharncliffe
Specs:
Ouch... this one hurts
Started out to be a simple "winter beater" on paper with Tom but ended up being a Lexus with lots of options and stored in the "garage".
Hand picked Red Ivory (also called Pink Ivory) wood handles. This a real cool off red and one of the hardest African woods with nice graining. Drilled out tang for weight reduction, eased spine with slight swedge, and a gorgeous Paul Long alligator inlayed pocket/belt sheath with clip that holds the knife deeply.
An extremely light knife with impeccable buttery smooth finish work by Tom (save the wicked sharp cutting edge). Very classy package that works with jeans or office wear.
Unused, no carry.
Knife and sheath have been stored separately.
The knife is flawless... picture artifacts and shadows are on me.
SOLD, pending funds
Here is Tom's own Work In Progress pic of the knife.
It captures the truer color of the handle than my amateur photo skills do... Initially, I asked for a Scandi grind. Tom obliged me but thought better of it after he had it on there... it left his shop sporting a beautiful shallow tall hollow grind before it got sent to Mr. Long for a custom fit on the sheath...
Details:
Cash is certainly king but may entertain trades for other specific models from the D2 mafia: Doziers, Crotts, Kreins, and Denning, Phil Wilson, Murray Carter, Scott Cook (Owyhee), Lile, Wayne Hendrix, a 9mm CC or modern 6.5x55 rifle.
USPS Priority shipping and insurance paid by me.
USPS money order only please.
Domestic please, unless we have exchanged before.
Please email for more pics...
Thanks for looking.
