So silly and the descriptions do their best to vilify the items that were taken.

Because the pen-knife smartphone case belongs in the same discussion as the IED kit. How utterly ridiculous.

The terrorists won. We are utterly terrified of the most mundane, innocuous things now.

I agree. I thought the same thing when I saw the picture of the "knives disguised as keys". These are tiny little knives that you can buy at Walmart and such for your keychain. I am guessing the owners bought them to open packages and such, and didn't even think about removing them when they went to the airport. I wouldn't consider these any more of a weapon than a Vic Classic on a keychain.

The "news article" was at Daily Mail which, not only is the UK equivalent of the "National Enquirer", but is also in Britain and most British news sources are the absolute best at vilifying anything that could be remotely thought of as a weapon.
