I just bought a Kershaw 1500 ST (Mini-task) on e-Bay. It was described as being "in its original plastic bag". It did have an orange Kershaw sticker on it, but I'm not good enough at forensics to tell about the plastic bag. I don't see any sign of wear or sharpening on the knife. It's described as the first Kershaw Ken Onion. It doesn't snap out the same way my red Centofante did before I opened tab tops with the open end, but it seems to be getting smoother after additional reps.

It's ATS-34 w/ I think, G10 handles. Of course if you have the 1500 plain edge, you know this already. I prefer plain edges; I always carry a Silky saw with me in the truck.

Interested? Know more details about this series?

You are correct, the handles are polished G10 , w/ATS34 blades on the 1500's, the series had three knives 1500 - mini task, 1510- Random task, and 1520-Ricochet all were made with plain and combo blades and I know the mini and random were made in a lefty model as well , not sure on the ricochet. They were the first Onion / Kershaws , circa. 1998-1999 and are very collectible. The randoms and the ricochets had CPM440 steel instead of the ATS34. You bought it for about $20 less than the average selling price. Good score.
