Your welcome SMitty. Always a pleasure to help a fellow Buckeye.
There is something to be aware of if it matters to you. The mini-Northstar is stainless - 12C27, while the Northstar is A-2 tool steel. My mini-Northstar came with a poor grind from belly to tip. I contemplated sending it back, but then decided I'd just re-work it myself. That was months ago. To this day, there is a 3/16" section of the blade, between belly and tip, that I cannot (for the life of me) get razor sharp. It baffles me and I'll probably send it back to BRKT, explain all this, and ask them to get it sharp along its entire length.
I've dulled and sharpened every knife in those pics, and even thinned out the edge of the Highland and one of the mini-Skinners, all without problems. This mini-Northstar baffles me though. I don;t know whether it's the 12C27 or if it's from a bad batch of steel, but I can;t get it right. Maybe the reason it came poorly ground and sharpened in that area was because of the steel.
Another one you might consider is the Woodland. It's a tad bigger than the mini-Skinner (also a super-nice size for EDC) yet a tad smaller than the mini-Northstar. A-2 steel too.
Also, the BRKT sheaths are not always ideal for EDC carry. Most are "pouch-style" and the knife rides too deeply in the sheath for my tastes. I always end up making my own. The mini-Northstar sheath, however, is an exception to the rule - it's a very nicely designed piece of leather.
