Some of you might remember when I asked if anyone out there would be willing to let me borrow a Sebenza so I could base my own opinion of their quality/value. I was pretty much told I would be better off asking to borrow someone's wife for a night or two:eek:. I was confident that there was at least one person who was trusting enough. Well Rev. Pete e-mailed me and offered to send me his. I took him up on the offer, and he shipped it Priority Mail Insured to my house over a month ago (he didn't even want me to cover shipping/insurance!). Told me to carry it and use it for a month or so, but just have it back before the end of December. Now, you have to understand that he didn't know me from Adam's housecat, and that I had no feedback from other members here because I hadn't done any deals to establish my credibility or trustworthiness. He still was trusting enough to send me his $300 knife to carry and use. This says a lot about this guy, and what kind of person he is. I wish there were more like him out there willing to help a total stranger in a situation that was risky for him, asking for nothing in return. Well, I have shipped the knife back to him today, and just wanted to give him public thanks and praise for giving me the opportunity to try a knife that I had heard much about, but never seen or held.

Thanks Rev. Pete

Mike:
Thanks for the kind words. I hope you find the perfect knife for you. It was a good learning experience for me as I had to try some other knives for EDC. When I first started trading on BladeForums I was lucky enough to find BladeForums members willing to take a chance on a stranger. It is a great community we have here and I am proud to be part of it.

Pete,

Thank you for taking a chance on a new forumite like myself. I've always been into knives and always carried at least one (other than when I was in school 1 or 10 years ago;) ), but I'm rather new to the knife forums. Like I said, it's nice to have guys like yourself who are willing to go out on a limb and take a chance on a new guy who could be just looking for a quick steal.

Mike
