Kudos to the local hardware store

I don't know if I am just lucky or if everyone has a store like this in their town, but I must say I LOVE my local hardware store, K&K True Value in Bettendorf, IA! I know most of you guys will never have the opportunity to shop there, but I can say that literally, if I need anything, ANYTHING for any project of any type, they have it. It's unbelievable, really. It is out of the way for me, so I always stop at the Megalomart places and despite their enormous size, never have what I am looking for nor do they hire people who even know what I am looking for is, as a a rule.
So, the moral of the story is if you have a good hardware store in your town, then give them your patronage as it is a treasure to have! And, if you are ever in the Quad Cities (IA/IL), make K&K your first stop!

Chiro,
Maybe they would be interested in opening a second location here in central Fl!! Having a hardware store that has their act together and is a place you enjoy doing business with, is a beautiful thing!!!! I go to "Home Labyrinth" where if you know what you want and where it is, you're all set!

I know exactly what you mean. We have an independently owned True Value here in Kansas City called Strausser's. I also go out of my way to go there. It's a big, old warehouse with brick walls and wood floors and smells like a hardware store should. The store always has the odd things I'm looking for. They even have all the materials necessary to make my own stuffed pins. The people who work there are amazing. If one of them see's you walk by they will literally stop what they're doing and ask if they can help you and they mean it. Try and get that kind of service at Home Duhpo.
