Kuk bayonet on ebay

You have a shot at two (2) "khukuri bayonets" on Ebay. 2196735135 was offered before with no takers. It looks impossible to use - top of blade must be four inches below line of bore. The other (2196776518) looks merely clumsy, and "military intelligence" has produced clumsy weapons before.

I think JP has been trying to post about this ebay kukri (and maybe another one) - but he's had some trouble getting his bladeforum account to work. I think I got him back in, but I haven't heard back from him on this yet. Perhaps potential bidders may want to wait to see if he has any general comments (though I know he usually doesn't like to say too much whilst an auction is still on).

Thanks DD for posting that information. The only guaranteed "kukri" bayonets are the straight ones shown on the connecting thread.

In the last week there have been 3 of these bayonets listed. One guy even wanted $400! I don't think they are authentic, but it doesn't mean they were made yesterday. If you want to add a curiousity that has nothing to do with the Nepalese Military and can get it real cheap, why not?
