I posted this on the general discussion form but wanted to ask the makers what they think as well, I picked this Kukri on a spur of the moment decision, its intended use will be around the property, a working blade.

Reviews seem very good, anyone have experience with this one?

This Kukri came unsharpened, very dull but appears to sharper near the handle and no edge at all at the chopping end. Before I spend the time sharping this I would like to know if anyone thinks, it is work taking the time to put an edge on it? What angle should I put on it?

Grateful for all comments and suggestions

It was not made to be sharpened. Put it on the wall and enjoy it for what it is.

I thought there was a Kukri section with a few regulars that have used just about every one available (ok slight exageration), probably ask those guys to point ya in a good direction.

On second though guess it was the H.I. I was thinking of.

Cold Steel makes a Kukri Machete that is pretty cheap and quite serviceable for a hard-use-dont-care-if-it-breaks kind of blade.
