Hello
How can i regrind my camillus kukri (8mm thick)?
As you can see in the photo:

The left grind is a bit higher (like 3mm) and is also slightly convexed. The right grind is almost perfectly flat. What im willing to do is to regrind the left side so its flat and then regrind the right side so its flat and symmetric to the left one.
To do that i have a regular 1"x30" belt grinder (just like the one below).

Ofcourse i can can rebuild it slightly if its needed.
Thanks

I've not tried to regrind a blade that is already heat treated, but If I did I would use a new, high quality belt (60 - 80 grit) and go slowly and not let it get hot to the touch. This is probably overkill but better safe than sorry.

How did the blade get lop-sided like that?

I would remove the platen and try to even up the sides with a slightly convex grind. Don't dwell in one spot, keep the blade moving. Picture and know what you want to do before you touch the blade to the belt.
