I know I ordered a Kuma "Karda," and a beautiful knife arrived in the usual Uncle Bill across-the-entire-country-in-two-days interval. But wait. This looks familiar. It's a Leuku. A fancy and extraordinarily stout leuku, but that's what I see. Did the "Lost Tribe" of the Saami find it's way to Nepal? Is this why puukkos work so well as kardas?

(Is this one for the "Explain the prehistoric movement of peoples in ten words or less" guys.? Naw. Ragnar's right. Only so many patterns -- if they're any good.)

My horn version arrived today as well...

It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful Karda I have ever seen...the horn came fully polished for a change! The grip is straighter, without the usual flair and is *very* comfortable. The scabbard has the great brown leather...

Thanks to Kumar, Yangdu, Bill...heck, a knife like this, I'll even thank the French. (I'll figure out for what later)

I got SPOILED! I usually get my orders in two days, too.
Still waiting for my 12/2 (2) and 12/4 (3) gems. Patience is a virtue. :)
