Took the weights out of mine, too...then fitted it with Micarta. Enjoy!

Thanks SN! Can't wait to flog the berjeebers out of it.. To be honest I haven't even opened it up yet to see let alone adjust. Will do that soon though.

Which actually brings me to a question. The scales on the 12 are thicker than the normal Becker offerings. Are these scales like the old Camillus versions? I don't own a Camillus 'Becker' so I'm unsure..

Also I have noticed that I have a very small micro chip right up near the tip of the blade. Please understand, I am not bashing KW here, this is merely an observation. It will probably grind right out so I'm not too perturbed. I haven't actually even used the knife for anything other than fondling so I'm not sure when this may have occurred. I really don't think there is any need to send it back, like I said, it's very minor and probably an easy fix. Just thought you guys might like to know. I'd take a picture but it's so small I'm not even sure it would show up in the pic. Still, love this knife! I knew it was going to be my fave! Any opinions on whether I should contact KW just to let them know?
 
Mine showed up Friday, a day after the TommytheWho scales I ordered were here. :thumbup:

I'm not a fan of thumb ramps but I think I could get used to this one. I'm not usually patient enough for it but I think I'll etch the logos before I start beating on this one.

I wouldn't worry about a micro chip that won't even show up in pictures, on a knife I intended to flog the berjeebers out of.
 
so, every batch, they make another 1-999?

i got #4 of batch 0, or so i'm told :D

Their hosting provider has totally screwed the pooch and they have been having intermittent problems for a few days. Sorry. Hang in there and, yes, they still have knives.

We met and talked with Ethan at the booth at Blade. Hope to have the opportunity to meet you sometime...
