It has been plate quenched then cryo quenched. After that it was tempered to be in the hardness range of 59-60RC. The blade is ground with a right side chisel grind and a left side back bevel. The handle is wrapped with black cotton cord that was soaked in resin. Under the wrap are two pieces of maple wood. The menuki is made from titanium. Has a heavy spot of resin on one side. It comes with a leather cross draw sheath.
