now that is a mans man! I told mrs shotty that kilts were still in style. it takes alot of balls to admit to wearing a kilt, it takes more to admit that a kilt wearing man whipped your ass! hahaha

Shotty, if you hook me up with a black sheath for my coming RC-3, I will do nothing but sing your praises after I get a chance to test the quality for myself. Blems are fine, just need function. Heck I've only been using RATs for two months and I'm already getting others on the bandwagon. I'd be more than happy to do the same for you.

Boiling water sounds like a bad plan. Heat gun or toaster oven seems like it might have been the way to go. Could be wrong.

I've used the dishwasher to melt candy into liquid in glass bottles. It's very hot in there!

Don't throw away that sheath. Put it in the oven at around 290 degrees for 4 minutes. It will either come out looking like a pita pocket or flat but put your RC-4 in as straight as possible at the right depth and press it between some camping pads on the floor standing or kneeling on a book and it will be as good as new.
