Kydex Becker Necker Handle Mods !!!

Glad to hear you got a little necker. I got one a month ago and I wanted a fat handle for it to have a custom fit knife for whittling so I made one out of stabilized maple buckeye.
I stripped the coating with Nitromors and then sanded like a madman. I used black spacer material and stainless steel bolts and I also reshaped the choil and filled in the bottle opener space with a piece of brass. I hope the pictures show up.
Feel free to let me know what you think as this was my first custom project.:D

I'd say for your first custom project, you're displaying some pretty good knife modification talents. Man, that's a beauty-nice job! :D

Thanks Geegee, I enjoyed my first project with the Becker Necker but with no power tools and just a hand drill, the learning curve was pretty steep, I found the stabilised wood very hard to work with.
I am waiting on a Becker Crewman from Camillus (I had to return my first one as the grinds were so uneven)but, when it arrives I plan on modifying that too.
I'll try a progressive photo story this time rather than the "end result only" Necker photos.
