  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Kydex for BK-62?

Leather wrapped Kydex may be a solution but, with this knife, leather has to be involved somehow.

I agree with the above.

Kydex, to me, is friendlier to carbon steel than leather even though leather was used for carbon steel knives quite successfully long before kydex (or the internet) were even thought of.

Seconds on adding a lip for your thumb to press against. Made a big difference on mine. Like the brass hardware.
Nice work!

My thoughts on this was that unsheathing it is supposed to be a two-handed operation.
one hand on the sheath, the other hand on the knife's handle, then pull straight out, at arms reach.

This is a camping/outdoor knife. Usually there are kids around. I have it firmly sunk into the kydex, it takes a fair amount of force to remove it.
I don't want it to be easy...haha. Kinda like Excalibur ..... :D
If you are Strong enough to pull it out.
You can Use it.

I think that is a built in safety feature, when it's laying around on a picnic table or whatever.
