Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had kydex sheaths from both of these makers to give a recommendation for over the other (pros/cons, etc). From what I have read, both product excellent quality kydex sheaths, good retention and so forth. Just curious if there is a preference for one over the other. Thanks

It comes down to each one has their own unique style, whichever one attracts your attention the most, go with it.

This goes for most top makers in any category, personal preference makes for more than anything.

Both are great ;)

Eric does some great things with leg straps and molded in drain holes

His quality is top notch

Both are top notch. But I will have to say. The Brown NMSFNO/AMS Piggy-Back and HR sheaths I just received two weeks ago are amazing! I will be posting pics this weekend in the Busse forum. I've had them for over two weeks but haven't had the chance since "Uncle Sam" called me up.

I have owned more than one sheath from both makers.

Both put out an excellent sheath, and both have great customer service.

Can't go wrong with either.

Personal preference in appearance, color, style, design, and availability. I would think it isn't much more complex than that.

I have a couple of Eric's sheaths and lots from Dave. Both are EXCELLENT makers, their style is a little different so choose the one that appeals to you most as you wont go wrong with either.

I used to own a GG&G Battlehawk that had the kydex sheath made by Mr. Brown. I must say that the quality was top of the line. I have no experience with Mashed Cat but a lot of people seem to like their sheaths as well.

Regardless David Brown has an impeccable reputation of great customer service and satisfaction around here. My choice would be to go with his sheaths.
