Michael and Eric- you guys are wusses! Thicker is always better!
Just kidding. You CAN make a sheath for a small knife with 0.090", but it takes skill and a lot of messing around with to make the sheath have enough give on the draw. I still prefer thick Concealex, myself, but people just starting out would be better off buying lighter material. Plus, it just looks better since you get crisper definition with the thinner material. Just like my knifemaking, my sheatmaking is leaning toward the thinner is better category these days...maybe someday I'll call myself a wuss, too!
