I'm planning on attempting to make some kydex or concealex sheaths for some of the knives I own which came with leather sheathes.
But, I don't know the difference between kydex and concealex. Any explanation or description of the differences would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Davy

Hi Davy....

The only thing you are going to notice is looks...

Kydex had a pattern to it, where Concealex is a Matt finish.

It works pretty much the same, although there is a slight difference in work temperatures..

I have worked with both, and Much prefer Concealex over Kydex Anyday.

As long as I can get Concealex it will be the Only thing I use..

Hope this has helped.

Well I said quite a while ago that kydex would be a thing of the past when Concealex hit the scene. I know many still use Kydex but I just think Concealex looks better.
It works easier for me as well.. Plus you have different patterns and colors to chose from... Victor at Blade Tech is about as good a guy as one can deal with too,(Kleerdex people can be less than helpfull) he will set you up with EVERYTHING you need.
Ever since I got the first Concealex Victor sent I have never ordered ANY more Kydex. This is just my humble .02 cents of course..

Hey Guys...

Bill..

It's so slight you wouldn't even notice it unless you work with it everyday...

Trace..

I agree 100%....
