Hi, I'm Marcin and I am from Poland. I discover all polish internet forums and sides, ask peoples and still i didn't find anything interesting. So: anyone have a cnc plans (or normal, my knowlegde about milling/cutting/cnc is small so i will show it to a person who is good at that) for kydex eyelets punch - for both sizes of kydex screws? Sorry for bad english  😛

If I understand correctly, you're looking for drawings or a program to machine your own punch and die for setting brass kydex rivets?

I made my own, I could draw you a blueprint of them if that's what you want. As far as writing a program for you, that would be impossible for me to do without knowing all the variables of your machine and tooling.

More precisely i think about an eyelet bending surface - all curves and something like that. I don't have a lathe. I will give this to man who have a cnc, so i want to have a stuff which allows this guy to make a cnc project (is possible to make it at normal mechanical lathe?). And second question - kydex punches are heat treated or they are made from low-quality non hardened steel? :)

I made mine on a manual lathe. I made them from O1, but I did not harden them. It's more important that they're polished smooth.

It depends on how long you want it to last. 1,000s of rivets per year, yes, I would make it from hardened tool steel. A couple hundred for the life of the tool? Then anything that will polish smooth will work.

I want to make it for me and for sell with kydex sheets. So i want to make it good

Yes, but soonest will be tomorrow as I will do it on my work computer.

Eyelets are made of annealed brass and aren't that hard on steel, even if you're going to set thousands of them a year. I'd just order a set of dies, drill a hole in your arbor press to put the ram in and epoxy the thing in there. If you want to be fancy then you could drill a tap the hole and thread the die or just do a set screw in a threaded hole on the side to capture the die.

I guess you have to decide how much your time is worth. I have a set like this and it works fine:

I just bought a set of these and they work great. No splitting.

Sounds like he wants someone to tell him how to make it so he can sell them

Yes it's true, i want to sell it in local Polish knifemaking group for forum friends :D I swear i was asking at polish knifemaking sides - nothing. So i have two options - you and your knowledge or send it to person which can mak a measures of my two punches which i bought in knifemaking shop ;)

I apologize, work was too busy this week. I will try to do it tomorrow when I go in.
