I just purchased a trident 2 and I love the way its balanced and the beauty of the knife. Ive had a seal pup for about ten years now and I carry a twitch 2 with me every where I go all well build great knives but I want the kydex sheath for my trident, as I am really going to beat the piss out of it. I hunt, hike, climb, and am on S.W.A.T. so I want something that secures to a tac vest efficiently. Also was wondering if the poly in the sheath gets brittle in cold weather. Thanks BEN

only get a sog kydex sheath if you want to spend about 30 seconds trying to draw your knife. trust me , its not quick . i suggest a custom sheath . as i`ve never bought a custom sheath , can`t supply a website sorry , but someone will be along shortly ( no doubt) and they`ll know.

ty, good to know for rec use no big deal but in a situation may not have time for that. Definately would like the most functional thing for strapping and speed. As the knife would be upside down on a 22 deg angle under my left armpit. On my vest at work.

Normark can build you a custom sheath. I have his Concealex sheath for my F1; it can be carried IWB or out, and at a variety of angles. I can't speak too highly of his work -- great service, too.

"The Martialist" Phil Elmore (aka sharp Phil) on Blade forums speaks very highly of Bob Humelbaugh, owner of Survival Sheath Systems. Bob's shoulder rigs look pretty good.

Personally, I prefer leather sheaths. Then again, I don't have the same ultra-hard use requirements for a sheath as you do. ;)

I do indeed. Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths also does very nice work. I am regularly well-protected thanks to the work of both Bob and Mike.
