Just got my sog tigershark with a kydex sheath, the sheath was so tight I was not able to pull it out so I really pulled as hard as I can 6'-2'' 225lb. You jessed it,shot out flipped out of my hand an almosed cut my right pinkey kuckle off cutting down to and along the bone. Much blood, time in the ER and stiches later im typeing this. of course this is 110 present my fault should have been more carefull. Can you get a regular leather sheath for tigersharks as I just found out I dont like kydex at all and the one that came with it is unusable its like a vice. I also noitced the blade on mine is over an 1/8'' shorter than 9'' is this a normal tolerance and the seratted area is very deeply recurved giving a s shape i did not notice in the pics. just wanted to give everydody a heads up.

Sorry to hear about your accident with the Tigershark. Hope you will be ok soon.
The kydex sheath locking system is very tough. This is info quite useless to you right now but for others receiving the Tshark: open the sheath lock with your thumb first until the knife releases easily, don´t just pull it. For future use, bend the lock a little until the blade is easily drawn, but don´t overdo it, this will make the sheath lock too flexible, bend it little by little until you find the right balance in drawing comfort and locking safety.
Have not measured the Tshark but factory tolerance should be minimal, keep in mind rounding figures for indication purposes. 1/8 on 9 does not make a big difference for practical use.
From my observation, the Tshark´s serrated edge is fairly straight (horizontal) but drops down approaching the handle and then the plain edge drops a little towards the tip. If the latter is the case with your Tshark it is normal.

OUCH ! Sorry about that Conajohara, I know the feeling, except my cuts have been by getting too comfortable with my blades.
I had a razor sharp, Double Action Revolver tanto blade lying on my lap last week watching TV, and like a dummy I forgot about it and stood up and it fell straight down onto the top of my foot, stuck dead center in the top of my foot with sox on, my wife just stared in horror, while the blood slowly covered the whole top of my sock. The knife fell over but was still stuck, I pulled it out and she said, get your shoes, were going to the ER. I refused to go and now my foot is numb on top, wonder why ?

Spearfish, gave good advice, I use this technique myself.
