Hey Guys,
So I bought an Böker Plus Gekai, for EDC. The size fits my uses perfectly. But I like to use an utility clip like in the picture. The knive came with a kydex sheath but the screw wholes are really close to the blade and when I screw the Clip on, the sheath presses on the blade. This goes for both sides. When I tried to pull out the knive not realizing why it was stuck, when I suddenly got it out I cut myself diabolically. So I can't use the clip since it ramps up the pressure, making the blade stuck. So I love the knive, but the clip that came with it is horrendous.Really big and unhandy, so I can't use that. Does anyone knows what to do?
Thanks;)

Rubber or plastic washers used as standoffs is what would usually be used. If you don't want to order them online just go to your local hardware store and look for either white polypropylene/Teflon bushings or in my opinion a better choice is "faucets washers" they are flat or domed black rubber and are usually have just the right size hole for the hardware of your clip. You might have to use more than one faucet washer to get the correct thickness to relieve the tension on your sheath. Also if your hardware that came with your sheath isn't long enough to use with the washers you can pick up Chicago screws at the same hardware store as the washers.

Rubber washers. You could also switch to a DCC (Discreet Concept Carry) clip with washers.

The Ulticlips are bent in that “U” shape to maintain integrity and I would suspect that the edge is cranking down on the kydex and making the knife too tight for retrieval.

Hope this helps.

what everyone said.
get 3/8" thick rubber washers/spacers from knife kits and use those as spacers.
may need the post and screws that you can also get at knife kits.

The attachment looks like an Ulticlip clone.
I would get the real thing.

you could also tune the kydex a little.

Or get a new sheath :)
