Kydex sheath recommendations please.

As for the knife itself, I realized that all the theory aside, I just needed to feel how the Basic 7 felt in my hand. It's not quite what I'm after so I put it up for sale. I probably won't sell it if I can't find a Canadian buyer to keep things simple. I was just a little surprised by the sheath because, like I said, my el cheapo Kabar sheath is very well designed and, at $70, the knife AND sheath costs only a little more than what a custom sheath would sell for alone. Anyway, I guess that's why Kabars are so popular.. they're cheaper than dirt and highly functional.

Had a kydex sheath that was a bit snug so I carefully warmed it with a heat gun with the knife inserted. Perfect fit now.

Try hot (not boiling but just off it) water, that is how I fixed the excessively tight fit on one of mine.

No Offense at all from me Tai Chi...

Just wanted to point out the proper decorum prior to such posts.

Kydex is thermoformed. Heat will make it as flexible as leather, but it dried as hard as plastic. I'd caution anyone that it is a lot easier to screw-up a sheath than fix one. ;)

I really don't get this. If you tried to remove the knife from this sheath with one hand you'd run the risk of pulling it right off your belt (since the belt loop is a hook type). In fact that's what happened the first time I tried with one hand on a belt. It either pulled off the belt or simply would not unsheath unless anchored with the other hand.

Just a heads up, in case you do not know, I am not On Scene Tactical ?
I am Buy Brown.

Eric of On Scene Tactical is good people though has been a honorable great friend for years.

E-mail him and see what he can do for you.

If it does not work out I do have a B-7 in house, so I can make you a sheath.
