I saw that the other sheaths went pretty fast and I figured not everyone was able to get one. So, I decided to make some available as well.

What makes mine different?

Several things:

1) I use 1/8th inch thick kydex. Most others use .060 or .080. 1/8tH inch is near indestructible. It's harder to work, but worth it in my view.

2) I use a thumb push-off. This makes withdrawing the knife clean and easy. No need to pull up your pants into a wedgie  each time you draw your knife.

3) I engage the handle, not the blade. This minimizes scratching.

4) Efficient design. I don't care for the pancake style, as that takes up too much belt space. Also, I don't have a veranda-size welt for the hardware.

5) I prefer not to use a Teklok. Cool as they are, I've had so many come undone or force the knife to ride uncomfortably close to the body that I don't use them much. Instead, I use one piece that utilizes a sturdy integral belt loop.

6) Semi-custom. If you're, um, calorically enhanced and need more offset, I can do that. If you want a 1.5" belt or a 2.25" belt loop, no problem. Right or left hand? You tell me, that's how it'll be done. (note that it says "semi-custom"......this is for a basic vertical sheath for belt carry, not some inverted-clips-to-your-sock kind of thing!)

7) You can DISASSEMBLE THE SHEATH and clean it out right ! Get that dirt and grit outta there ! Unscrew the hardware and run a paper towel down the interior and you're good to go! The choice USED to be: pack the dirt/grit in there farther so it'll never come out! Not anymore.

8) ADJUSTABLE TENSION. that's right......YOU set the amount of tension you need or want. I've tried many "identical" knives in a sheath only to find they're not all that identical. It depends who was working the grinder or shaped the scales that day. This results in minor differences. A "fixed fit" kydex sheath might fit mine perfectly.........yours, not so much. With the adjustable tension, you can make it fit YOURS the way YOU want.

Now, I've noticed that the Meaner Street SE has a full height grind....UNLIKE the Muddy or Sage Meaners. That means, for them to "fit right" you really need the sheath molded to the one you have. You're in luck! I happen to own each! So I can make sure you get the right sheath for your knife. (If you have both, order it for the Muddy/Sage, but be aware the blade of the SE will move around ever so slightly as a result. But you don't gotta get a sheath for each.

The deal: I have a couple days coming up that I can set aside for making these sheaths. But after that, I have a big military order coming up, so sheaths will have to wait. What this means is, don't dally. If you want one, order one. You'll have it within 7-10 days, if not sooner.

AVAILABLE FOR: Meaner Street, both Muddy and SE Also for BATAC, both Standard scales and Magnum. (no SE's or LE's at present, sorry!)

I am geared up for TWENTY Meaner sheaths, and TWELVE BATAC sheaths. Once these numbers are reached, I'll have to reevaluate the situation and time frame before the "Big One" hits. I may be able to add a few more, I do not know right now.

Finally, who am I? I am KyTac (www.kytac.com) the maker of World Class winning holsters, etc, etc.

Please Paypal me at: KyTac@aol.com

Questions? Please ask away !

PRICE:

Meaners or Game Warden: $44
BATAC: $49

Please add $ 6 for shipping.

Color options or just black? If I can get a BATAC/standard sheath in OD I am in. Also, what's the price? I don't see it in the post.

I looked on the commercial site and couldn't find the sheath prices there either. What size allen head will one need for adjustment? SAE rather than metric, I assume. ;)

:o I have now posted the price..........

I do have another option for colors, but it costs more due to the extra work. (I use 2 layers) When I can, I'll get a picture of it posted.

My focus has been crafting great holsters for competition and CCW, so my site does NOT reflect any sheath work there. Part of it is testing the degree of interest in my designs, along w/ helping fellow Hogs get some NUCLEAR sheaths for their NUCLEAR knives! :D

OK, then I'll take a black one for a BATAC with standard scales and not worry about the OD for now. PayPal when I am back at home tonight.

Very nice deisgn! Looking for one for an Active Duty. Making any anytime in the future?

I received one of these today. I have never seen or felt anything like it. It is a VERY creative design, that I believe will be copied and imitated all over.

**An ingenious use of a single piece of Kydex.
Strong, secure.
*Locks on the handle, but he also "tunes" the interior so that the blade will not shift and dull itself on the sheath.
*Beautiful form-follows-funtion appearance.
*My gunsmith, retired SEAL friend (Mike Bay) was impressed. Believe me, that doesn't happen every day.
*At this time, the turn-around time was less than a week. THAT won't last!

I don't receive any favoritism or reward for my positive opinion, which was entirely unsolicited.

I just snagged one of the GANZA... #3. Satin w/ Olive G-10. Can be sent to you for proper fitment once I get it. Like your design a lot!

I put in for that one, too ! Didn't get it, tho......:grumpy: (I did get a different one, tho! :D)

When you're ready, PM me and we'll make arrangements. (and yes, I promise to send it back in a timely manner!)

Is the BATAC sheath only for the CG version or can it be adjusted to fit the SEs? Thanks.

The BATAC sheath that I'm offereing is ONLY for the 3/16th's" thick Badgers, either Magnum or Standard scales. (please specify)

I could do an SE or LE, but I'd need to get one in the shop.

Guys for what it is worth, David made me a sheath for my LMS that I carry on my duty belt, It is the BEST I have ever seen. All of the others have wasted space or do not hold the knife very well, I love it and thanks for making such a good product.

Here are some more pictures of the BATAC sheath. At the bottom, are some pictures that show how to clean out the interior.

THIS one is a dual layer I call "Ky-Ply" I'll tell you right now, the PIA factor is fairly high, so it costs extra.

Both layers are molded to the knife and are welded together at key places, so it functions like a .120 thick sheath.

This one was made for my personal Blue/Black G-10 Badger. As a result, I did not need to add the tension adjustment. For yours, I would. Just imagine the upper most screw providing the adjustment. Yours would look very close to this one, except yours will be all black.

I feel the need to address the "Ky-Ply" concept. I'm aware that long time Hog David Brown (BuyBrown) came up with a bolt-on flames idea. I learned of it AFTER I came up with my dual layer construction concept several years ago. I've cut out several designs, to include the "tiger claw" (shown) a lightning bolt, Camo pattern (sorta) and yes, even flames. I just want to make clear that I came up with it separate and apart from David Brown. As you can see, my execution differs from his as well.

Now, back to the sheath!

The picture below, I tried to capture a look at the polished edges. That's the sun reflecting off the edge. Where's Lunde when you need him???? :D

THESE pics show how you clean out the interior of the sheath. Unscrew the hardware, get a clean paper towel and use a ruler (or the knife) and run the towel thru the length of the inside a couple times. Get that grit out and save your finish!!

Man, that is sweet. Can you post pics of the other designs you mentioned?

I may have a few more to toss your way!!
