alright guys... i have used some nice kydex in the past chisel and IG had some really nice stuff with a nice fine texture on the outside that molded absolutely perfect.

they went in on it with John Frankl... now no-one remebers where it came from exactly... except John things it was from WA.

everything i've tried since then... in any given thickness has been really crappy with a coarse noticeably different finish on te outer side.

now i know there are different grades.. which must all have their uses, but where can i find this one we got in the past??? any ideas guys??
thanks

IG had given me a piece of that stuff. I have some stuff thats the same texture. Its t-grade kydex. I picked it up on the cheap from ebay. 24"x24" pieces in both .09 and .06. I ended up buying about 4 square feet of the stuff and it was real cheap

thanks for the info man... so it is t-grade huh? the same texture too? does it form as nice as IG's stuff? i talked to the poeple at kydex and they said you can have any teture in almost any grade you want... so they said it wasent a good way to tell.
all i'm looking for is something easy to for that gives a nice impression. i'm going to call up the place and see if they can give me a sample. thanks man
much appreciated

I've been really happy with the way the t grade forms. nice and tight, to the point where you can see the laps in the blue tape on the blade. the ebay seller i bought from is Harva Plastics I'm looking at the reicipt now, its .08 kydex T. Give them a call they are out of NY (518)295-8101

alright i got a hold of them... awesome people to deal with.
so this stuff is the same texture huh? he referred to it as cell texture...
thanks again man
