You need to have both your current username and what you want it changed to in the title of the thread. These threads are how the moderators keep track of name changes, and having to open each thread to see what it was is a pain.
 
Well excuse me for being a pain, I did my best to follow the format per the "change username rules" but apparently I didn't fully understand. I read all the rules as well as other posts regarding this matter prior to starting this thread so something like this wouldn't happen. I don't quite understand how putting the name change in the title of the thread would be beneficial, when the moderator replies to the thread anyways. All the postings I read concerning this matter had a reply from Mr. Spark acknowledging the name change. But what do I know? I'm a pain in the butt newbie right? So I apologize to the moderator(s) for making it hard in y'all. I'll try to change the thread title as soon as I can. Thank you.
 
yablanowitz is not a moderator. He's a member of Bladeforums trying to help. I don't understand what you were trying to do. You had one post, didn't like your username, and paid for a change. One post! Abandon it and register another username. Now you have a paid membership, so abandoning it would cost too much.

Anyway, Spark has to make the name change, moderators don't have access to that. He's been exceptionally busy lately. Every bit of procedural help to get his attention is good. I can fix the title for you, though.
 
Hello! Yeah it's not that I didn't like my name, it's that I have too many I'm trying to keep up with, why create a different one. Just thought I would try to be consistent. Anyways, yes after I paid for the membership is when I decided to change it. Thank you so much for helping and sorry for my response. My dog got nabbed the day before yesterday and I'm a little bit snappy. Sorry. Y'all have a great day!
 
I guess I could have been a little more clear as well. I was referring to later down the line. With your post count it wouldn't be a problem so much, but someone who has put up a few hundred posts under one name and then changed to another name can create a lot of confusion. It is a lot easier to check someone's past history if you can come to this sub forum and search thread titles for their current username to see if a name change shows up, rather than searching all the "Change Username" threads and opening each one to see who it was. That's why they want both old and new usernames in the thread title.
