My son Kyle is now 21 and as started showing interest in knife making. Here are his first 5 knives made recently. We're using my sunfish stamp on the front and a K opposite for now, he'll get his own stamp pretty soon. We started simple, on the first two he did pretty much what I told him then he started to do his own thing on the next three. Wont be long and he'll stop listening to me. :)

From the looks of his first five blades, sure looks like the student learned a helluva lot from the teacher, which wouldn't be unexpected. A way cool thing!

Those are some blades, fantastic start!

The "Hanson Hamon" enters a second generation. Wow.

I wish I had a dad to learn the ropes from, and one who already had all the great equipment.

When I was a kid, I had a desire to learn from my uncle. Glen Hornby. The year I graduated, he passed away.

Boy are those some nice looking knives! Looks like he has natural talent and a great teacher too.

That is great Don. My son is 43 and has made a couple, but the "BUG" just didn't bit him.

Hope he sticks with it.
