Kyle Hanson Knives

hmmm...no ivory. I'm sure that will change!

That youngster of yours shows some real talent. I think that is really neat that he wants to follow(from the looks of it - very sucessfully) in his fathers footsteps. You must be enjoying this.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Hummmm, what kind of fish theme stamp for the newest Sunfish Forge maker?

I do hope Kyle continues making knives he shows outstanding promise. Most guys first dozen or so knives are not quality enough to sale but from the beginning Kyle is making knives that are worthy of use or collecting. I for one hope he continues and also gets on here to get to know us and we can get to know Kyle.

Chis, I hope he continues also. I believe he can be successful as a maker.

I need to have him sign up here and get to know everybody. Kyle is away for a couple days, but will be surprised when he sees I've posted his knives...

Thanks for the good words, folks!

Real good start. Great hamons. Thats some quality time with Kyle.
I love working with my son but he's a PO now and doesnt get much grinding time in. Now I have a new son-in-law to break in.

Great to see Kyle's recent work, Don! It may never be the same in the shop. You may eventually have to tell him where the ivory stash key is hidden.

He has a great mentor and is off to an awesome start. I'll let you know how his heat treatment is doing once I put that ironwood piece to use. ;)

Keep it up, Kyle!

That's what I was thinking Lorien :)

Very nice work Kyle.

Wow Don, you must be proud. His hamons look almost like yours...and that's sayin' somethin'. Congrats to Joe for getting one of these beauties. Look forward to getting acquainted with this great new maker.

Very cool!

Can't imagine how many knife makers are green with envy to have your instructor be not only your Dad, but a world renowned bladesmith at that!!!

Congratulations Don. You guys are gonna have a blast in the shop together. Kyles work look great like everybody else said.

My son is just 3 1/2 but he is currently directing his energy to paintings with diverse glued on felt stars:D

Make sure Kyle signs up here please.

Brian
