Beware, I have had a nice two week long exchange with someone going by this name wanting to order a custom knife.
I knew by the second or third email something was off.....but continued cautiously. He wanted to order a knife because he was a recently commissioned 2LT and heading off to Iraq.
He asked about a bunch of models that clearly would not have been wise choices...like the Persian Integral and Zombie Cleaver, than began to haggle about price, then asked for a military discount, then saw the MIG and asked for a military AND a dealer discount, so he could have extras in his shop. Then refused to provide the necessary documentation I asked for proving his military status, sent me a copy of his "cousin's" because the first MIG was going to him. When I finally decide enough is enough, and politely told him I think I will exercise my right not to sell him anything, he flips out and says I hate my country and just lost a sale to someone going to West Point and another commissioned officer, his cousin.
I replied, that three quarters of my immediate family, and most of my extended family all served, some as officers, I then pointed out his less then genuine statements. Like the fact that you are commissioned as a 2LT after graduation from WP, which he stated in his first post that he already was, then his last stating he was in his last year. Then asking for a dealer discount for his shop.....I wasn't aware cadets were allowed to have shops, at least not when I attended USMAPS they didn't. Anyway, his response and the lies proved he was a scammer.
So I don't know if he trolls here or not, but if he is still using this name, beware!! and here is the copy of the ID he did send me, his cousin supposedly, which I don't believe and turns out he has a colorful history too!
