You can also upgrade your membership and post in WTB forum, and/or just stalk other HOGS who may have what you want ;)

You can post a WTB thread without a payed membership, but I do advocate purchasing one anyway. The benefits are just too numerous. Now that I've tried Gold, I don't think I'd ever go back to just being registered.

Hey polski, I have a gun addiction as well. But being here excelled my INFI addiction way past guns. INFI never ever runs out of ammo

Paypal's buyer protection is not a guarantee that you will receive what was promised or get refunded if things go south. It's better than nothing, but the guy can't be trusted. Just be patient and watch the exchange or go through ebay's normal purchase process with a different seller. The great part about buying here is seeing positive feedback from other reputable members.

As an alternative, you may want to contact Trever over at knifehunter.com. He's a super great guy and may have what you are looking for...

I couldn't agree more with these two gentlemen. LK has blades on the bay that I was dying to own when I first got into Busse. But after learning about him and his practices here on BFs I decided to pass on his and just check the exchange regularly for the ones I was looking for and you know what... they all eventually came up for sale on here from good honest folks and at an asking price much lower than dans so I saved money also! Can't beat that imho. Patience is a virtue so they say.

I've also purchased from Knifehunter and the whole transaction was great w flawless communication and follow through.

Sorry man - I stand corrected. Didn't mean to mislead you there.

and Welcome to the madness! Good luck with your search, just know that it will not end with one Busse

I'm under the impression from what took place at blade last year that he's got a ton of dbags helping him do dirty work.

Piling up every blade in front of you careless to wether it gets its nice satin finish scratched x however many there were of his friends.

After blade there was one post made by someone with a brand new account asking how to remove scratches from the factory satin finish.

Hahaha. Blatant. And hilarious.
Haha believe that was me. I had recently bought a nice fatash with scratches off the bay and wanted to pretty it up. I can see the correlation tho.
Definitely don't buy crap from him and do as others have recommended and just keep and eye on the exchange and even the bay just not him. Have got a few really great deals on the bay myself and a beautiful Grail knife for a great price off the exchange.

He needs to change his company name also. A quick google search "liu kang grail scam" you'll never want to do business with him! Pretty sure you could find other stories easily enough too.

You could/should report him to bay for violating their terms of use. If enough people do that maybe he'll get banned from there too!

All I can tell you is he has TWO of my Grail knives, and I'd rather want them desperately and never get them for the rest of my life than buy them from LK.

+2 on knifehunter. Trevor is great people, and the fine art of Hog stalking is a time honored tradition 'round these parts!

Done ! I have resorted to waiting desperately
Lots of really nice helpful people on here. Glad I stopped in !

What about Arizona custom knives? Any opinions on them? Hope I'm not breaking forum rules mentioning them they seem to have reasonable prices.

A few years ago, after having started a WTB thread here on BF, I was solicited by LK about the blade I wanted on another forum. Took some effort on his part. Not that this would happen with every WTB thread, but poster beware. Another reason to have a paid membership and take advantage of the PM/Conversation system away from prying eyes.

I am going to go against the grain here. I can't speak about other people's experiences. I have spoken with Dan/LK a couple of times and he has been very polite and straightforward. I did business with him without knowing any of this history and had no problems whatsoever. Based on my personal experiences, if the price was right I would not hesitate to do business with him again. Some of the comments directed towards him in the past on this site have been quite hateful and with racist overtones. I do not enjoy seeing others treated this way, as I feel that if someone has a problem with a business, they should speak about their business experience and not resort to personal attacks.

Please note that I am the only poster on this thread to report a personal experience and not a secondary account. It is not my intention to diminish those accounts. However, I would feel remiss if I did not take a moment to say honestly that I have had better experiences with Dan than many other knife related businesses. His prices are objectively high. The knives are real and there are protections in place with services like PayPal that work for you.

Don't do it. My one and only transaction with him left a bad taste in my mouth. I sold him a knife, cheap. He gets it and says, hey it a little thicker than you said, can you refund me $25?" I told him I was using a tape measure as I didn't have a caliper. I refunded him the $25 and made a note to never deal with him again. I feel @LiKE Snowbird about him.

I have done business with LK many times. He has always been good. I have heard of bad things but personally he bought a few knives from me and vice Vera. All solid transactions with good communications. I can only speak for myself but I think he is legit

Absolutely not. I know a customer of his that bought a Force One from him. He smashed in the tip of the knife with a hammer before sending it. Do not give this POS a cent.

Just a guess, so that buyer cannot try to sell the knife as 'new' in the future. Decrease his own potential competition.

AZCK is first rate to do business with. If they tell you a knife is in excellent condition, they mean it, and they always note anything that impacts the condition. If you're selling, they'll take pictures and write a description of your knife, and then post it on their website. They take 25% of the selling price, but they get a lot of traffic from knife collectors.

I have had personal experience with Dan. He overcharges for everything he sells, his packaging sucks (one expensive satin knife came with half an inch of the tip sticking through the side of the box), and if there's anything wrong with a knife he'll tell you to send it to Busse, they'll fix it (yeah, they will, but you'll pay the postage both ways and it could take months). There is a 123 page thread in Pirates Cove dedicated to bashing Dan. In my opinion it is well deserved.
