I have some SKS5 saw steel, i dont know much about any of this,but i was told that it was the same as L6, could someone tell me how to heat treat L6.

SKS5 is similar but has higher carbon and lower Ni.

L6- Heat to at least 1500F for soak and then quench in a medium speed oil, expect as quench hardness to be around 62-63HRC, temper from 400F to 450F for a HRC of 61 to 57. Oops, did I spill the beans on another secret
