Can you just give a rundown of the major points in the video
Pretty much that it used design elements of cheaper knives, he didn't like the thumbstuds, and he's not a fan of tip-down carry. Oh, and he had a hard time putting it into his pocket. Oddly, though, he liked the handle comfort, blade, performance, and materials. Seems to me he was a bit overly critical just based on the hyperbole of the name and wanted to find issues.

I watch knife vids, but never take them seriously. Mainly to get an idea of how the knife looks and its size. Any fool can get a camera and upload their opinion to YT.

Anyhow, LAPG is about 20 minutes from where I live....I have this week off and might pop out there as I have never seen this shop. Plus, I was looking at a Benchmade they have in stock and the price is competitive.

It seemd like his biggest gripe was that the tip-down carry and design of the thumb-studs results in difficulty pocketing the knife to the extent that it even opens in the pocket  That is actually pretty dangerous and would completely rule-out the knife for me. The pocket-clip looks to be identical to what benchmade used on the 745 Dejavoo which was also tip-down but used an opening-hole instead of studs. But this knife is tip-down with both a flipper tab and a tendency to open in the pocket - ain't no way I'd consider such a tool, no matter how comfortable the handle or other aspects of the knife. Plenty of other knives have a nice handle and good materials without that baggage. That's my $0.02.

I know this is an old thread, but why the hate on tip down? I have carried this knife for quite awhile, and it has NEVER opened in pocket. No tip down knife I have ever carried has. The only knife ever to open was a cheap Schrade auto that I forgot to engage the safety on. Let I nice little cut on my leg.

I had a knife open up with tip down carry once and slice right through my pants.

LAPG has recently changed the knife to a tip up carry only now. For the price its easily the best deal on the market considering the s35vn blade steel.

I've never once had a tip up folder open in my pocket. Granted, I don't carry anything with a dangerously weak detent.

Myself i like knives Mfg.ed in USA but there are many quality knives Mfg.ed in China, that said if nothing else the lower prices of these knives are sending a message to a lot of knife Mfg.s in the USA.
And many in law enforcement just want a knife that will cut, and don't want to spend a lot for it.

S35VN, bearings, good action. I've used mine and I'm thoroughly impressed. Makes you wonder why so many knives with the same materials are so much more.
Ive handled this knife. I don't think it's as good as any other knife with the same materials. It's the one Cedric Ada reviewed. It's worlds better than an mtech and alot of the Kershaws Chinese offerings.

I'm glad they fixed the clip cause that was very dangerous for most of us. If your looking for a decent steel and cheap price it's not terrible. There are alot better knives out there. Good for the budget crowd
