I told everyone it was nice.
I gave it a quick buffing for you.
I like shiny brass, cuz i'm funny like that.;)

We're supposed to polish the brass?! I've just been letting my develop a nice rich patina...
Though I am going to go by Harbor Freight today to pick up a buffer so I can finish bringing my little BDC back to its full glory.
Maybe I'll see about hitting the brass bits on the BAS and Bilton... just maybe...

Be very careful. polishing a khukuri with a buffing wheel is not for the faint of heart. One slip and you can easily lose fingers or be stabbed. Make sure you concentrate fully when using this equipment.
I use a 6" wheel on a grinder motor. I think its about 1750 rpm. If you know someone who has used one to buff before, it is best to take instruction from them, as long as they do it safely and know what theyre talking about. On my rig i have the wheel spinning towards me, as i use the bottom of the pad. That way if the blade gets away from me, it is thrown away from my body and not into it.

Thanks for the warning!

I mainly plan on using it to restore to shine to the horn handle. The blade is safely wrapped in newspaper and Gorilla tape.
But I'm always keen on learning new ways to prevent loosing my fingers.
