I have a Ray Laconico that I designed with Ray (mostly he designed it
) that I think he ended up calling the "Base Camp". It has seen some use but is in good shape. There are scratches and scuffs from use but over all this looks good. This thing is a tank at 1/4" thick yet it still cuts like much thinner knife thanks for Ray's tall flat grinds and razor sharp convex edges.The steel is 5160 for toughness and the blade is just a tad north of of 8" long. The blade was purposely sized to be able to fit into the large Spec Ops Combat Master sheath and the sheath will be included.
Now here is the deal. Ray and I designed a knife called the HWK (and the HWK+). Now Ray is no longer making that knife and I am kicking myself for not picking up more of them while I had the chance. So... I am looking to trade for an HWK or HWK+. Condition is not all that important since it will be used. I might consider other Laconico blades in the 3"-5" range but right now I am really looking for an HWK.
I you have an HWK that you are willing to trade, please let me know so we can work out the details. Depending on the detail of the HWK I may need to get a little cash along with it.
